The Drumfire DFP-CC71-BLU/RED 12″ Wood Claves are crafted from solid hardwood.

Claves are traditional percussion instruments consisting of two sticks that are struck together to produce a sharp, cracking sound. One stick is called the Clave (or male), and the other is the Striker (or female).

To play, hold the Clave in one hand between the fingertips and the heel of the hand, using the thumb for support. This creates a sound chamber between the Clave and the palm of the hand. The Striker, held in the other hand, is used to strike the Clave.

These claves come in a red and blue finish and are sold in a set of two pieces.
